Applying to AIM

We are thrilled that you’re considering AIM for your student. We’re now enrolling students in the founding 6th and 9th grade classes. Seats are limited. We encourage you to apply now to enter the lottery and hope you’ll join us in creating a space where young people can see themselves in healthcare early—not just as patients, but as future professionals, innovators, and leaders.

The AIM Lottery Process

  • Because AIM is a public charter school we use a randomized lottery when applications exceed available seats. We are open to all eligible students in Atlanta, Clayton County, Cobb County, Dekalb County, and Fulton County. AIM cannot select students based on academics, behavior, disability, income, or background.

  • Families must submit an online lottery application during the application window. For students entering AIM for the 2026-2027 school year, the application window opens on December 15th, 2025, and closes on February 1, 2026.

    Applying does not guarantee enrollment.

  • The lottery is held after the application window closes on February 1, 2026. We post the results online on February 4, 2026, and shared through SchoolMint.

Families may log in to their accounts to view results as soon as they are published.

We created AIM with access in mind

Students can get to AIM using MARTA, carpools, or other transportation options, allowing families flexibility in how they plan their day. AIM is close to GA-400, and I-85 and a 2-minute walk from the Lindbergh MARTA Station, making it easy for students to travel across metro Atlanta without long or complicated commutes.

AIM staff offers student orientation on safe MARTA usage and designated staff members help students transition to and from MARTA. Clear procedures are in place if a student misses a shuttle or needs assistance. If using MARTA, families are encouraged to practice routes with students in advance so they feel confident navigating stations and transfers independently.

MARTA card scholarships are available for students who need them so transportation costs are never a barrier to opportunity at AIM.
